Aloo Ki Puri

Aloo Ki Puri

Serves 4 to 6


2 1/4 cups plain flour (maida)
2 potatoes, boiled
2 pinches pepper powder
1/3 cup milk
2 pinches of saffron (kesar) strands
2 tbsp melted ghee
1/2 tsp salt
ghee for deep frying

Preparation Method:

Peel and grate the potatoes. Make a smooth paste.
Add the flour, pepper, ghee and salt and mix well.
Mix the saffron in the milk and add to the flour. If you like, add a little saffron colour to the milk.
Knead the dough very well. Keep aside for 1 hour.
Roll into small puris and deep fry in hot ghee until they puff up.
Serve hot.
