Aloo Palak Roti
Potatoes by themselves are healthy and tasty if not deep fried. Add to this the goodness of spinach, yoghurt and wheat flour and you're left with nothing more to wish for!
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Makes 15 rotis.
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup besan (Bengal gram flour)
1/4 cup boiled, peeled and grated potatoes
1 cup chopped spinach (palak)
1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies
4 tbsp fresh curds (dahi)
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Other ingredients:
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
oil for cooking
Preparation Method:
Mix all the ingredients and make a soft smooth dough using a little water if required.
Divide the dough into 15 equal portions.
Roll out each portion of the dough into 150 mm. (6") rotis with the help of a little whole wheat flour.
Cook on a non-stick pan with a little oil till both sides are golden brown.
Repeat with the remaining dough to make 14 more rotis.
Serve hot.
